The Job Vacancy Barometer dropped to 256.3 points in October, marking a decline of 7.7 points compared to September according to the latest report from the Office of Investments and Economic Cycles (BIEC) and the Katedry Makroekonomii WSIiZ. This is the lowest result since February and the largest monthly decrease this year.
Key Findings:
The decrease offset the gains observed in the last four months.
The number of job vacancies dropped in all regions, particularly in areas with high unemployment.
The largest declines were recorded in the voivodship: Opolskie, Świętokrzyskie and Lubuskie, while the smallest decreases occurred in Wielkopolska, Podlaskie, and Mazowieckie.
The vacancy rate decreased, while the registered unemployment rate increased to 5.2%.
Industry Situation:
The IT sector was the most affected by the decrease in job postings.
Declines were also observed in the services sector and in professions requiring education in the natural sciences and engineering.
A relatively good situation persists in the social sciences sectors and physical occupations.
