Since Poland's accession to the European Union, Finnish investment in Poland has increased many times over. It is estimated that Finnish companies currently employ nearly 30,000 people in Poland.
The number of Finnish companies in the Polish market varies a lot. Officially - around 250 Finnish companies have their subsidiaries in Poland and the rest operate via sales partner, agent, distribution channel or cross-border. We at Spondeo have our own excel with 450 Finnish companies in the Polish market, so our estimate is that around 600 Finnish companies are making business here.
Moreover, Poland is in TOP 10 list of Finland’s trade partners. The export to Poland is more or less at the same level as exports to Norway, Estonia, Italy, Belgium and France.

- We have identified over 61 Finnish companies (or companies with strong Finnish DNA) having production in Poland.
- Out of them 14 have revenue over 100m€, top 5 are: Cargotec, Stora Enso, UPM Raflatac, Scanfil and Fortum.
- 8 of them have revenue between 50 to 100m€ and 11 between 20 and 50m€.
- It's probably no surprise that the most impressive growth was done by Saxdor Yachts - 80% growth to 75m€ turnover.
Finnish companies bring advanced technologies, sustainable solutions and innovative approaches, enriching the Polish economy. The value of Finnish investments in Poland is estimated to be around €2 billion.
