Finnish Niilo Mäenpää signed a contract with Warta Poznań for 2.5 years, that is until the end of the 2023/2024 season. He comes from the city of Hämeenlinna in the south-west of Finland. Niilo is 24 years old, measures 182 cm and weighs 75 kg. From the age of 15 he was appointed by the coaches of the youth national team of Finland. In the national teams under 16, 17, 18, 19 and 21, he played a total of 23 matches (in some of them he was the captain) and scored 4 goals.
Despite his relatively young age, Niilo has quite a lot of experience in senior football. He appeared in league and cup competitions over 180 times. He has 78 matches in the Finnish league. He scored 2 goals and scored 7 assists. He also boasts 6 hits in 30 appearances in the Finnish Cup. He will be the second Finn in the team from the Poznań team.
